We offer four Star bed and breakfast accommodation in our charming Victorian town house. We are situated just off the M6 motorway and A66, Penrith is the perfect starting-point f.

Penrith is situated close to the M6, which makes it an ideal location for those wanting to explore the Lake District and all it has to offer. Equally this location is ideal as a halfway house for those travelling up and down the country. For the energetic Penrith is located on the Coast-to-Coast cycle route.We have a choice of single, twin, double or family (up to five guests) rooms. All rooms are en-suite (many with newly refurbished bathrooms), with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We have a total of nine rooms and can accommodate up to 22 people. The Norcroft is one of the few town centre Guest Houses with a large car park.We have an accessible room on the ground floor, newly fitted out and approved by Eden District Council.

Run by a charismatic and friendly family, the hotel provides a relaxed, informal but efficient service, well suited to the Lakeland way of life. The Helvellyn and High Street mountain ranges are right on the doorstep, which makes The Royal Hotel an ideal and comfortable base for walkers.

The facilities include 10 en suite bedrooms, a large restaurant and a bar that boasts a fine selection of wines, locally produced Real Ales and malt whiskies.
The hotel is now a completely smoke-free environment.

Due to its unique geographical location, the hotel is also free from mobile signal: ideal for a quiet break.

Also due to the location, all rooms have poor TV reception - but they also have DVD players.
